Jazmine Brown Breaks Track & Field Record at Oneida Invitational

On Friday, May 9, Proctor High School senior Jazmine Brown made history at the Oneida Invitational, setting a new Outdoor Girls Track & Field Shot Put record for the Utica City School District. With a powerful throw of 37 feet, 3 inches, Jazmine surpassed the previous record of 35 feet, 5 ¾ inches—set by Tatiyanna Brooks back in 2009.

Jazmine’s strength, focus, and dedication to her sport have earned her a well-deserved place in the UCSD record books. Her accomplishment is not only a personal victory, but a source of pride for the entire Raider community. We can’t wait to see what Jazmine accomplishes next as she finishes her senior season
