Students at Columbus Elementary enjoyed a “Wicked” themed day on Friday December 19, 2025 for their celebration of student achievement. As building leader, Karen Miller described what the day meant to her, “Celebration of achievement for me is truly a time for the entire school community to gather and celebrate all of the hard work of the students and the teachers and the staff and all of the good that happens here on a consistent basis.” Students shared alongside her that celebrating student achievement means working towards your goals, no matter how hard that might be. They also shared beyond test scores that kindness to others and respect are the values that guide them. Wearing lots of pink and green, the students danced in the gym and teachers and staff even came to school in costume as characters from Wicked, further enhancing the fun! Congratulations Columbus students, your self discipline, teamwork, bravery and perseverance keep you moving forward. Keep going, you get better every day!
