On November 10, students, teachers and staff at Jefferson Elementary celebrated the second Jefferson Day of the school year with smiles, laughter and a full day of community-building activities. Held several times throughout the year, Jefferson Days are surprise events chosen by the principal to bring the school community together in fun and meaningful ways.
The day featured group projects, classroom meetups and a school-wide sense of spirit that delighted everyone. Throughout the day, students engaged in creative projects that encouraged collaboration, problem-solving and the sharing of new ideas. Class buddies (older and younger students paired for friendship and mentoring) spent time together crafting and playing cooperative games, deepening connections across grade levels.
A highlight of the celebration was the return of the Jeffer-saurus, the school's beloved mascot. The costumed character made surprise classroom visits, sparking cheers and spontaneous dance parties that filled the hallways with music and excitement.
Jefferson Elementary is celebrating the success of its second Jefferson Day and looks forward to many more moments of fun, friendship and community throughout the year.
