The 6th Grade students from Albany Elementary headed to the Bronx for what turned out to be a wonderful afternoon of baseball. The students were able to soak in a lot of the sights, sounds and smells of not just the ballpark but also New York City.
The Yankees were victorious in the matchup with the Texas Rangers 1-0. The victory was only made better by the single shot homerun landing in the lower deck, just in front of where Albany was sitting!
The students were also able to experience some ballpark food staples and received a Yankees backpack from the organization.
No Field Trip would be complete without stopping at Chick-Fil-A to round out the day! We are all very grateful for having the opportunity to watch a great baseball game and visit a historic ballpark.
We would like to thank our parents and PTO members, as well as Mr. & Mrs. Falchi, Ms. Vile, Dr. Spence and the Board of Education who supported this initiative.
