Second graders in Mrs. Kenndy's and Mrs. Grimes' classes celebrated Cinco de Mayo with the help of Safe Schools. This year, students are "traveling the world" and exploring new places and cultures through hands-on experiences. They made decorations, sat at a communal table and used real-world skills to count money and pay their dinner bill based on a menu that was provided to them. Students chose from items like tacos, rice, refried beans and flan. Thank you so much to our second grade teachers and Safe Schools for creating such a fun and meaningful experience!
