JFK’s Junior Honor Society, in partnership with the JFK Buddies after-school program, recently hosted a school-wide “Rock Your Socks” event in recognition of National Down Syndrome Day on March 21.
Through student-created posters and daily announcements, the initiative built excitement and awareness across the entire building. Students and staff proudly participated by wearing mismatched and colorful socks, symbolizing support for individuals with Down syndrome and celebrating the beauty of our differences.
The event was a great success and a meaningful reminder of the strong sense of community at JFK, where we embrace the message: We are more alike than different.
