On Tuesday April 8th, 2025, Proctor Drama Club students had the opportunity to attend Dear Evan Hansen at the Stanley Theatre at 7:30 PM. In preparation for the event, some students made signs with the words "You Will Be Found" and "You Are Not Alone" to highlight major points of the musical. Lucas Santana, a senior, created a paper mâché cast with the word CONNOR on it to have the cast members sign after the show and he also created a painting of the musical poster as a gift for the cast. In the musical, Connor is the only person to sign Evan's cast. The students were deeply moved by this powerful musical and by the emotional performances given by the performers on stage. They found many of the characters, songs and issues that the characters faced to be relatable to their own lives. The show taught them many valuable life lessons including the power of making meaningful connections and being there for others in their times of need.
After the performance, the students were able to meet many of the cast members and talk to them about their roles. They also had insightful conversations with each other about the impact that the show had on them.
